What is an Autodidact?

So first of all, what is an autodidact?

It's pretty simple: an autodidact is a self-taught person.

It comes from the Greek roots Auto and didaktikos, or self and teaching. That makes me the Autodidact Bear. Below is a link to the Wikipedia page on autodidacticism, which actually does a decent job of putting the concept into a broader perspective in the history of education.

The main takeaway for our purposes is that the internet has created more opportunities for self-teaching than have ever existed before in any educational setting.

So let's start exploring!
